Check-in Options

For the simplest and smoothest journey possible, we recommend that you check in via the Widerøe app or online at wideroe.no.

Widerøe app

• Your journey is automatically available for check-in in the app if you are logged in, and were logged in when you booked your journey in the Widerøe app, or on wideroe.no
• If you enter your booking reference and last name in the app before the journey, we will keep you updated about check-in
• Digital boarding passes in the app can be used at security control and boarding
• Additional services and seat selection can be managed for selected journeys
• You can download the app by opening one of the links below on your device:

Online at wideroe.no

• Go to online check-in
• If you log in, you will automatically be offered to check in for journeys booked while you were logged in
• Alternatively, you can check in by entering your last name and reference number
• Digital boarding passes can be used at security control and boarding
• Additional services and seat selection can be managed for selected journeys

Email

• We send check-in information to you by email when check-in opens 22 hours before departure.
• You can check in on your mobile or PC and get various options for boarding passes - digital boarding pass for smartphone or the option to print your boarding pass when checking in via PC.
  • Remember that the boarding pass must be downloaded and added to Apple Wallet (iOS).
  • For Android/Windows, we recommend saving the ticket to your camera roll as the boarding pass may disappear when the phone is set to flight mode after departure
• Digital boarding passes can be used both at security control and boarding
• If you need the digital boarding pass after the journey has started, we recommend taking a screenshot of the boarding pass

At the airport

• Go to a self-service kiosk or counter if you need to check in baggage.
• If you are travelling from abroad to Norway, staffed check-in counters open 2 hours before departure.
• At the self-service kiosk you can choose a seat, enter your loyalty number, print baggage tags or boarding passes.
• If you are travelling with Widerøe Flex/Full Flex or have eligible Reward benefits you can use our Priority check-in counters in Bergen, Stavanger, Sandefjord.
• Boarding takes place in groups (Group A, B, C). You can find your group on the boarding pass.

Check-in online

Check in online by using your reference number or logging in to "My trips"

If the passenger is a child travelling alone (UM), requires assistance or has special baggage or pets, check-in is only available at the airport.

If you are travelling with multiple airlines, always remember to check in with the airline operating the first part of your journey.

Checked baggage and hand luggage

Do you want to bring extra checked baggage? Or are you travelling in Mini and want to bring hand luggage? Book no later than 22 hours before departure and save up to 50% compared to buying later.
