Seat Reservation and Special Equipment

Seat Reservation

If you are travelling with a companion or have any needs related to seat reservation, such as an extra seat, the customer centre can accommodate this.

Send an email to Widerøe's customer centre for reservation and applicable terms.

Please note that passengers with limited mobility cannot sit by the emergency exit.

Special Chairs

Widerøe allows the use of one type of special chair on board, in addition to a regular car seat.

  • Special Tomato: The chair must be manufactured after 2006
  • Car seat: The car seat must be certified and labelled.

You must also purchase a child ticket, even if the child is under two years old – this is because the car seat is placed in/occupies a seat.

Special Harnesses

Widerøe allows the use of two types of special harnesses on board:

If you need to use a special harness, you must bring it yourself. The companion/guardian is responsible for the use of the special harness and must inform the cabin crew about its use and how the securing works. Upon arrival at the airport, you should also contact the staff at check-in if you wish to use a special harness.
